Many Jewish immigrants came to Hackney in the 19th and 20th century. Ruth, a member of the congregation at Brenthouse Road will lead a tour of this Grade II listed syngagogue that has just been sold to a pentecostal church. The talk will also look at how this community has influenced the buildings and culture of the area.
