Clapton CAAC views the proposal positively - with the exception of the proposed extractor piping running up the outside of the chimney stack. It is an obtrusive element which spoils the host building. Might the extractor not be placed within the original flue?

Clapton CAAC objects to this retrospective planning application. The five air-conditioning units on the gable are both visible and intrusive. Their clouring is at odds with the host building.

Clapton CAAC does not object to this application. We feel, however, that the proportions of the dormer emphasise height over width which create an overdominating effect. Wider and less high would be aethetically more acceptable.
