2023/0884 121 Mortimer Road, N1 4JY Proposed Installation of an ancillary outbuilding and associated works Householder Planning (Alishba Emanuel)

We are surprised that sufficient space could not be found within the existing house. In the Conservation Area it is common practice to condition garden buildings so that they are not used for residential purposes. We therefore object to this application.

2023/0930 29 De Beauvoir Square, N1 4LE Proposed works: All existing painted surfaces to be redecorated including railings; windows to be painted and repaired if required; and brickwork repairs. Listed Building Consent (Jessica Neeve)

We have no objection in principle to this application. However we would point out that Acton Street is in Kings Cross so pollution in that area can hardly be responsible for the layer of soot on 29 De Beauvoir Square as noted in the Design and Access Statement.

2023/0880 84 Mortimer Road, N1 4LH Replacement of 12x timber-framed single glazed sash windows with timber-framed double glazed sash windows Householder Planning (Thomas Russell)

We have no objection to the replacement of windows but we do object to the non-integral glazing bars. We also think that the windows to the rear should all be 2 over 2 to give consistency to the rear façade.

2023/0521 Flat B, 104 Buckingham Road, N1 4JE Replacement of existing single glazed windows with double glazed timber sash windows. Full Planning Permission (Raymond Okot)

This is a house of townscape merit and it deserves a better application. Drawings of each of the proposed windows should be supplied.

2023/0907 4 Englefield Road, N1 4LN Proposed construction of a part single part three storey rear extension and installation of rooflights on the main roofslope. Householder Planning (Erin Glancy)

We strongly object to this application. The De Beauvoir Design Guide clearly states that any extension should be subservient and one storey less than the full height of the main building. We are concerned at the extent of the proposed lower ground floor extension. The skylights in the roof should be low profile Conservation style which would be flush with the roof tiles.

2023/0934 75 De Beauvoir Road, N1 4EL Erection of single-storey outbuilding in rear garden Householder Planning (Gerard Livett)

No objection.

2023/1044 75 De Beauvoir Road, N1 4EL Erection of single-storey outbuilding in rear garden Listed Building Consent (Gerard Livett)

No objection.

2023/0606 1 Ufton Road, N1 5BY Replacement of single glazed timber windows with double glazed timber units on the front and rear elevations. Replacement of front entrance door with new timber 4-panels door, and replacement of any rear glass panels doors with new timber glass panels doors. Full Planning Permission (Raymond Okot)

We have no objection to this application and are pleased that the front door is to be replaced. However it would be more appropriate if the new door was six panelled to match those in the rest of the terrace.
