This has turned out to be quite a simple and elegant building. Therefore we think that the material used for both the staircase and the glass guarding should replicate that on the building below.


2022/1478 Flat A, 25 Buckingham Road, N1 4DG Installation of an air source heat pump at ground level Householder Planning (Danny Huber)

The applicant has not submitted a discussion of the noise from the air source heat pump and whether any mitigation may be required. The drawings do not allow any assessment of the potential noise pollution and its effect on neighbouring properties. We therefore object to this application.

We strongly object to this application. We fail to see the point of replacing the original butterfly roof to gain a few cubic metres of space.


2022/2077 17 Stamford Road, N1 4JP Installation of an air conditioning unit and noise control enclosure. Householder Planning (Erin Glancy)

We object to this application. The noise assessment report relates to an air source heat pump located at first floor level on the northeast facade of the main house. The accoustic study clearly states that its conclusions are only relevant to a pump in this position. However the section and the proposed roofplan show a location for the unit behind the studio room at the end of the garden. There is no mention of the potential noise pollution on the houses close behind in Ovanna Mews.


2022/0826 44 Enfield Road, N1 5AX Installation of 3 no. new boiler flues on front and rear elevations outside of Flats no. 3,4 & 6, located on second and third floors. Full Planning Permission (Jonathan Bainbridge)

We object to this application. This is an attractive building with a well balanced façade which will be spoilt by the addition of these cumbersome and ugly boiler flues. A better solution is necessary.


2022/1917 Downham Wharf, 28 Hertford Road, N1 5QT Replacement of timber facade at ground floor level and soffits to elevations of Norway House and Downham Wharf. Full Planning Permission (Alix Hauser)

We find the proposed zinc cladding more acceptable than the wood it will replace provided that it satisfies the latest regulations. We reiterate our comment on the previous application that the planting and overall wildlife habitat should be carefully protected during the cladding replacement works.


2022/1922 13 Southgate Grove, N1 5BP Variation of condition 2 (approved plans) of planning permission 2021/1225 dated 02/03/2022. Effect of variation would be to lower the existing lower ground floor window cill and replace the existing window with french doors. Removal/Variation of Condition(s) (Gerard Livett)

We strongly objected to the earlier application for a third story at this property but, given that permission has been granted, we should prefer the timber cladding and plain window as shown in the application plans. We therefore agree with the applicant that Condition 3 should be set aside.


2022/1860 1, Fermain Court North De Beauvoir Estate, N1 5SX Variation of condition 1 (approved plans) attached to planning permission 2021/2293 dated 15/02/2022 for the replacement of timber cladding with a fire resistant EWI (External Wall Insulation) system, replacement of windows, balustrades and doors.
