To celebrate the Hackney Society's new publication, ‘Hackney - Modern, Restored, Forgotten, Ignored’, three contributors take a walk through the landscapes and architectural remains of some of the borough's churches and chapels – from medieval catholicism to modern nonconformists – exploring Abney Park Cemetery, St Augustine's Tower, tin chapels in Dalston, and Anna Barbauld's house parties and reading groups in Stoke Newington Church Street.
