Planning Representatives on the Planning Committee – The Hackney Society has for several years provided non-voting representatives on the Hackney Council Planning Committee. This has been a wonderful opportunity for members of the society to represent their views on individual applications right at the point where decisions are being made.
These representatives are impartial, and do not represent the views of The Hackney Society or the society’s Planning Sub-Group, whose comments are submitted separately. They are however able to offer impartial views, without reference to political or economic issues that other representatives may need to consider.
