We organise a wide range of talks, walks, guided tours and other events, as well as the annual Hackney History Festival each May.
Tickets range from free to £5 for members/£10 for non-members via our Eventbrite page.

Wikipedia Editing Workshop
Saturday 6th June 2026, 2pm- 4pmHackney Archives, E8 3BQ (and the first Saturday each month)
Join us to learn how to create content on Wikipedia, a free-content online encyclopedia written and maintained by a community of volunteers. Trainers from Wikimedia UK will give an overview of Wikipedia editing, why it is important and help attendees to get started.

Open to Hackney Society members, the local community and anyone with a curiosity about Hackney’s past, present, and future, the AGM is a great opportunity to connect with fellow residents, hear about upcoming events and projects, and help shape what happens in the borough.
